Wicked Sisters 3
Wicked Sisters, the UK’s only all girl snowboarding jam, hit Norfolk Snowsports Club in Trowse,
for the third year in succession on Saturday evening.
Girls as young as 10, joined teenagers and women on the slopes at this event,
which is the brain-child of the Club instructors Jesse Graves, Lydia Bennett & Mark King.
The emphasis was once again on being part of the snowboarding community,
supporting each other and having fun!
Mum, Kirsty & Daughter, Libby, aged 12 have been to all of the Wicked Sisters events.
Kirsty said “we are really inspired by the other women on the slope and the Instructors,
who have so much belief in you and are so supportive”.
Libby said “thank you for all the support & the lovely jacket from Snowfit!”
which she won on the night.
Female riders from all over the country, along with representatives from snowboarding brands and shops,
headed here to ride boxes and the fun park at the dry ski slope,
but this event isn’t just for the experienced riders.
The all inclusive jam offered Taster sessions and beginner Freestyle coaching too.
“Seeing so many girls with beaming smiles finding the love of snowboarding,
was super encouraging, and hope it inspires each one of them as much as they did me!” Jesse Graves.
With the brilliant vibe shown by all of the snowboarders attending the event,
there are big plans to take Wicked Sisters on the road in the future
as well as continuing with an annual event here in Norfolk.
A huge thanks to everyone involved 🙂
