Here we are finally. A new site in a new home. We are slowly bring it up to speed and we looking to add all the photos and ideas out there! I know we have plenty of the Jam's, Grom Camps, Ski Races and Junior Club - and I need you to send or post these .

Hiya racers and all,

Well after much throwing toys out the pram (not to mention midnight hours), the champs photos are back and we have a stable site again (they are now in order of being taken! - so if you remember what number you are then you should be able to find yourself). If you are one of the unlucky ones to be missed, it highly likely because my wife!! summoned me down via the tannoy from the main slope (not that 'm under the thumb at all) to find a set of house keys (I found in an instant down he side of the car seat - ahem :-).

If your old enough then you might remember this free game that Microsoft shipped with older versions of its Operating System entertainment addons back in 1991. This is a good remake (in flash), how times move on! - the original is legendary and still the monster comes out at 1500m and eats you! Style points are what count.

Although now slightly out of date; the boots have not changed massively and this site bootfitters provides a good heads up for those looking for new boots. Nothing comes close to trying them on before buying; and everyone has their favourites!

Hi all, i'm looking to come down and start learning but cant decide between boarding and skiing. i was hoping to do the taster course in one day with my other half i.e do and hour of boarding then an hour of skiing and seeing which we both prefer. unfortunately i see the tasters are off till september! is there anyway we could do it any earlier and would there be any way of doing them both in one day wth the two of us??

Ashamed to say I don't use the dry slope as much as I should, but with the summer coming to it's end, and a bit of a chill in the air some evenings, skiing withdrawal symptoms become increasingly difficult to ignore, and I am drawn irrisistibly to the thrills, spills (not too many I hope) and bonhomie of Norfolk Ski Club.

Skiology - the definitive list?

AFD - This stands for Anti-friction Device and is a small pad located behind the toe-side piece of your ski bindings
Angulation - arcing the body at the hip, knee and ankle joints to achieve a higher degree of ski edge
Avalanche - Caused when huge masses of snow slide down a slope. This can be seriously dangerous

Hi Guys,

I had not put a pair of skis on for well over 10 - 12 years.

I had a couple of supervised sessions and last week I was signed off to be let loose in the open practise.

I have to say a big thank you to the instructors the last two sundays, you were great and soooo patient!

I went down today for the open practise and things have started to slowly take shape again, slowly but I will get there!
