Snowboarding at NSC
The Club was the place to be on Saturday night if you are female and fancied trying something new,
as nearly 40 women descended upon the Club to try snowboarding and freestyle.
Wicked Sisters is the brainchild of Lydia Bennett and Jesse Graves,
both volunteer Snowboard Instructors and passionate about encouraging more women into the sport.
The all female snowboard event has run for the last 2 years and will see the 3rd year taking place on Saturday 25th May.
There will be something for every ability; tasters for beginners,
supervised instruction on the main slope and a chance to try freestyle for beginners as well as seasoned riders.
Saturday night’s mini jam was introduced to highlight Snowboarding, as part of our 50th Celebrations,
and was attended by new faces to the sport as well as Club members.
These included Mum, Kirsty and her 2 daughters – Libby, 12 and Sophie 15.
The family came to the first Wicked Sisters together in 2017, to try a taster and have been hooked since.
They have all completed snowboard beginner lessons and are now regulars at the Club.
Kirsty said “the Instructors have so much passion for snowboarding and it’s great the girls have a hobby they absolutely love”.
Check out some of the mini jams best bits 🙂
